About Leamington High Line CIC
The Leamington High Line Community Interest Company (CIC) is a dedicated group of local residents, urban planners, engineers and historians passionate about preserving and revitalising Royal Leamington Spa's unique industrial heritage.
Our Mission
Our goal is to breathe new life into the disused railway viaducts, starting near the Old Town and Bath Place car park, turning neglected structures into a thriving "high-line" style park. We aim to create a safe, accessible, and biodiverse green corridor that supports active travel, community wellbeing, and links our town together seamlessly.
History of the Viaduct
Constructed circa 1844 during the boom of the Industrial Revolution, the railway viaducts of Leamington Spa once carried vital goods and passengers, acting as a major artery for the region. While some rail lines in town remain active today, these specific sections have lain disused for decades. We are reclaiming these historic brick and masonry arches to serve the community in a completely new, green way.
